The Whitworth Gallery

As part of a 'Live Brief' project, in my final year at University, I spent 13-weeks volunteering at The Whitworth Art Gallery. During this time, I supported Ibukun Baldwin's Workshops with refugee groups, before carrying out my own workshop, in which the products created were sold in the gallery shop to fund future workshops. My time spent at The Whitworth was both inspirational and beneficial, as it not only helped to strengthen my own skills within print making, but it also improved key transferable skills for me to take to the workplace such as: communication and collaboration / teamwork.  Additionally, I feel my participation within the workshops, with roles such as: merchandising, planning, leading, presenting, demonstrating and aiding, were beneficial to my own personal development.
